How are RAMP’s solutions priced?

RAMP’s solutions are priced as annual subscription models based on the amount of content we process and index, such as number of articles, images, minutes of video, and the volume requests to our application programming interface (API).

Are RAMP’s solutions delivered as software or as a service?

RAMP’s solutions are delivered as a Software as a Service (“SaaS”) inside our highly scalable high availability platform.  RAMP’s SaaS model delivers a highly attractive Total Cost of Ownership while providing the reliability and flexibility traditional software models offer.  With SaaS, all RAMP customers are always running the most current version of our applications, and there is never a need to worry about hardware, bandwidth, operating systems, etc.  In addition, dynamic traffic loads and content processing volumes can be easily managed by RAMP.

How are RAMP’s solutions implemented?

RAMP’s offers flexibility in how you can implement solutions on your web or mobile site.  We have three primary options for implementation: 1) we can offer full HTML hosted versions, which can be controlled and configured through our console; 2) We can provide XML or JSON web services to allow you to integrate the optimized content with your own applications; 3) we can do hybrid implementations where we can provide our player and/or pagelets that can be dropped onto specified pages on your site.

How does RAMP get my content?

RAMP has the Web’s most powerful and comprehensive platform for ingesting and processing content of all formats-audio, video, text, and images.  We are able to access your content via feeds, crawls, or uploads.  RAMP has has a number of pre-configured connectors for popular online video platforms such as BrightCove and thePlatform.

Can I control the look and feel of the RAMP solutions on my site?

RAMP’s white label deployment approach means that the customer has complete control over the look and feel of every implementation.  At the start of our engagement, we work with you to design a layout that meets your needs.  At launch, you are able to control all aspects of the implementation, from changing headers, footers, URL’s etc, all the way down to editing XML and CSS files.  If you prefer a non-technical point and click interface, RAMP’s management console provides detailed control over page layout and attributes.

Are RAMP’s services available via API’s?

Yes, RAMP’s developer portal provides access to the core metadata, search, topic, related content, and MetaPlayer framework via API’s and SDK’s. The developer portal also features extensive documentation, emulators, and code libraries to speed the integration of RAMP’s services into your applications.
